Fitting a towbar onto a 2025 Mercedes C Class Estate

Has anyone recently had a towbar fitted independently (with a vehicle specific wiring loom by an NTTA installer) and then had the STAR coding done by Mercedes to ensure that the car knows it is towing something?

    Thanks for your reply. I bought and took delivery of the car 2 months ago and have now decided to get back into caravanning.

    If you are buying a new Mercedes from a Mercedes dealer I wonder why he is not doing the whole towbar plus electrics job and getting it right before you take delivery. I know that the JLR dealer I have dealt with would do that on a new car he was selling.
