    I'm sorry to be negative on this one, but you would need the £1,000 to pay for your caravan insurance.

    Every year I get a quote on a like for like basis with my existing provider and I cannot afford the premium the club usually quotes. This is typically around £700 where others want nearer £200.

    I agree with Colin. Club prices are way too expensive.

    When requesting a quote a few years ago, I asked the call handler the reason, and was told 'because our cover has been formulated by caravanners, for caravanners'

    I thought it was a ridiculous answer.
