Is a 5.99 m motorhome with a folded bike rack considered longer than 6 m for channel crossings?

The title says it all!

Thanks

if you are booking with Brittany Ferries one of the questions on the on line booking page asks if your vehicle has a rear mounted bike carrier and the charge takes that into account.

I think it more likely that ferries could charge. When we used Eurotunnel I think they have a quite generous unit length allowance.

It’s normally the overall length that counts.

With Brittany Ferries it would be. I chance my luck with the 6m measurement on my 6.07m caravan as they allow me 4.5m on the car and it's 4.35m. On the 3 crossings I have made no measurements have been taken.
