Does anyone have experience of towing with a Range Rover Velar PHEV or Volvo XC90 PHEV?

We currently tow a Coachman Laser 575 (1800kg MTPLM) with a Land Rover Discovery D350, which will average 25mpg on a long run on French autoroutes at around 90kph. Does anyone have first hand experience of towing a similar caravan with a Range Rover Velar PHEV or Volvo XC90 PHEV? I'm interested to understand fuel consumption and if you drive in 'hybrid' mode and recharge during breaks. The reason I ask is I may have to swap the Disco for a PHEV before next summer.

Thanks!

We have a Kuga PHEV which only gives us 38 miles on a full charge which is fine for popping out to the shops etc, so we tow with petrol

We tow with a Suzuki Across (rebadged Toyota RAV4 PHEV) we run on electric let the battery to discharge to about 60% before switching to Hybrid mode, that way the vehicles regeneration system recovers energy more efficiently, if you can keep speed down to 55 mph its better for regeneration and fuel consumption.

Don't bother recharging using public chargers, its not cost effective the vehicle will revert to hybrid mode when the battery is depleted.

Not sure if your vehicle has a charge mode give this a wide berth fuel consumption wise it is very inefficient.
