Women's Rugby World Cup
Any body else watching the opening round of matches? So far both England and Canada have shown that they are rightly favourites to win their respective groups, and Scotland put up a grand performance against their old rivals Wales, especially after the internal turmoil they have had during the build-up to the competition. It will be interesting to see how Ireland and New Zealand perform tomorrow.

I think that both of those matches should provide exciting and close spectacles after watching the games up to now, @Amesford.

Yesterday's game has been the best so far, and Canada thoroughly deserved their victory against the world champions. Today's was bit of a mish-mash, especially the first half with neither side playing as well as they have in the earlier rounds, and France were in fact the better side even if they did trail England. The depth of the England squad was the difference, enabling them to come out well on top in the end. Although Ellie Kildunne was vote the award of best player my choices would have gone to Megan Jones for all the work she got
looking forward to next weekend's games as they should both be close contests.
