Hi
Has anyone towed with a 2024-2025 kia sportage 207bhp.
My caravan fully laden weight is around 1500kg. The kia sportage has a maximum towing capacity of 1360kg.
I don't tow on the highway, all I need it for is too tow the caravan from storage to pitch which is about 100 yards.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you’re not on the public road, legality doesn’t matter. You’d probably be OK towing with a Reliant Robin over that distance😂
However, why not get a car capable and legally able to tow your van? That way you’re covered if you need to move it off site for any number of reasons - site closes, van needs to go to dealer, you fancy pastures new…….

For 100 yards why not use a mover if it's fitted?

The latest Sportage has a "basic" engine option of non hybrid petrol. This is the cheapest in the range and has the highest towing capacity.

I note the valid comments pertaining to towing off road, but has anyone towed with a 2024-2025 kia sportage HEV 207bhp on the road?
My caravans fully laden weight is around 1325kg so within the theoretical limit of the car. However, I would be interested to know how it performs in reality particularly with the auto gearbox. TIA0
