    Presumably the step has been damaged or deformed in some way, otherwise you've just sent the manufacturer a photo of a step. C

    Sorry for the delayed response, I have been busy. No there appears to be no damage that I can spot. Once weight was removed off the step the bent leg sprang back into position and appears to have set solid when it cooled. I have been using them for the past 7 years including in Spain (probaly in the shade) and since the incident I have been using it the past few day without problems.

    It was MIlenco who requested photos, I did not have any to hand and had get the steps to pose for my camera. I have heard nothing further from them other than they have sent them to the factory but I do not think they will reveal anything. I will make further enquiries IDC and if I get chance to replicate the problem I will make sure I photograph it.
