Membership suspension
To make matters worse head office seem to side with the site staff before they even have heard the other parties version of events

Would you really expect anyone to admit to being suspended? (Other than yourself, perhaps.)
Site staff need a means of protecting themselves and CAMC has long been criticised for not backing staff so it’s good if they now back them and take appropriate action as they do when suspending members from this forum.

As @Tinwheeler says, it's very unlikely that anyone will post on here admitting they have been suspended.
I'm wondering how you know that managers have these as it's news to me and how you know that sadly it does happen? But why sadly?
Also again how do you know that Unfortunately this system is open to abuse by any manager who may be temperamentaly unsuited to the job?
Is it open to abuse? Perosnally I would think not, as wardens have selection and training?

Again how do you know this? Has it happened to someone you know?
Also I would suspect that any such suspension will be reviewed (as you appear to suggest) and even if not the suspended member could write in to head office with a formal complaint which has to be addressed within a set timeframe.
But the best advice is not to be difficult, keep calm, be polite, and accept the warden's decision, which according to the rules is final and not to argue about it.
I fully support it this approach with suspensions if it happens. Wardens should be able to deal with a situation which may happen when head office is closed like after office hours or on weekends.

This is the club rules we all argree to abide by:
2. Management and help on site
a. If a guest requires any help, advice or has any difficulties they should contact the site staff. They are responsible for the smooth running and safety of the campsite and for making everyone’s stay as enjoyable as possible.
b. So everyone can enjoy holidaying on our campsites, please follow the site staff’s requests and all notices and instructions. The health and safety of all our guests is very important to us.
c. If anyone on site disregards these rules and/or disrupts the enjoyment of others, the site staff have the right to ask them to leave the site.
d. Compliance with our Club Campsite Rules is a condition of membership and a condition of site usage for all guests. Those not complying may be reported to the Head of Membership Services and their membership and/or access to any of the Club campsites and services may be suspended or terminated. If this happens, refunds of site fees may only be paid by Head Office. Applications for refunds should be addressed to the Head of Membership Services at East Grinstead House.
I can only assume that whoever you're talking about did not comply with the requests and rules of the club?

I can't imagine any site manager employing such an option except in the most trying circumstances? If they did it would soon become public knowledge via this and other forums and also the review section? Sadly I am sure they are required on the odd occasion but I would thought their use was fairly limited? I am sure like other large organisations the Club have staff review procedures who staff performance is monitored and judged against KPI's and I suspect the suspension of any member would be subject to discussion. Sadly there will be the odd occasion when a member over steps the mark and it might only be only option available to the site staff, I am sure there must be some appeal process?

Some friends of ours years ago were on a Club Site where a family were asked to leave the Site. It’s very rare, but the whole place heaved a collective sigh of relief when they departed. Both us and friends have been Club Members for over 40 years, and this is the only instance we can recall, so a rare occurrence indeed.
As someone who managed public facing leisure facilities, I was happy to train staff around procedures for excluding badly behaved members of the public, and often found myself having to ride out to support them. There are some extremely obnoxious, entitled people in all walks of life that think paying a fee means they can do as they like, act as they like, speak as they like without due regard for others. This includes being nasty to staff as well, hence why so many businesses have signs up saying abuse of staff won’t be tolerated, and phone calls are monitored.
If such forms are now in use, and site staff can now act on bad behaviour, then I for one applaud the Club. I am sure it will come as a shock to one or two that bad behaviour is being called out, given the fact that such review forms exist, it indicates that some kind of investigation will be carried out, but the immediate problem is removed off site to the good of the rest of the Membership. A fortnight should give perpetrators time for a behavioural rethink. A second one and I would completely remove Membership…….on yer bike, not wanted!
