Ok...new to this club and looking for recommendations of sites within a 15 minute walk to a town/village with a few pubs and some amenities - have just stayed on Hawes Club Site and going to book Castleton, but looking for other suggestions!
Thank you in advance!

You need to be a bit more specific. Penzance, Perth, Conwy……

Check out sites for somewhere you fancy then ask your questions in the UK Sites & Touring section.👍🏻

    Welcome to the forum.

Ferry Meadows has lots to do close by. Eateries, garden centre, Watersports centre, pub near garden centre, shop in village a bit further away, cycle shop, vintage trains into Peterborough at certain times of year. Boat rides as well.

York Rowntree Park, 10 minutes stroll into City along river, or 10 minutes up into urban village out of back of Site.

Incleborough Fields (Norfolk) stroll into West Runton, shops and pubs.

I agree you need to give us some possible areas or locations, we all have our favourite areas and can come with lots of suggestions if you narrow it down a bit.

Stockton, Lady Margaret at Chirk, Wirral Country Park, the AS site at Betws-y-Coed, Black Horse Farm at Folkestone, Abbey Wood, Brighton, Thirsk Racecourse, Cheddar, Great Yarmouth, Blackshaw Moor at Leek, Chatsworth, Broadway, Malvern Hills, Warwick Racecourse, Skegness, Buxton, Burrs Park at Bury.

Hope this is enough to be going on with.

Most have either a Pub or shops, sometimes both, within a 15 minute walk

Silverbank in Banchory, Craigie Gardens in Ayr, lots of non CAMC sites such as the CCC ones in Keswick , Bowness on Windermere, and Dingwall, and the independent site Spital Caravans in Kendal.

Use Apps like SearchForSites and use the advanced search facilities and filters to narrow it down to the type of site you are looking for e.g.>Advanced search< on the search for site web site.

@LifeinBluebell I've been thinking of all the club sites I've been to and I can't think of many that didn't have at least one pub within walking distance. For local shops too. The only one I can name is Troutbeck Head in the lakes, where's the pub is about 30 minutes walk.
