Does anyone know whether Towsure are still fully in business?
We ordered a Sunncamp awning through them on 1st July. After not hearing anything for a week, I chased up and was told it had been shipped direct by the supplier because they are large items that Towsure don't keep in stock.
With nothing delivered, two weeks later, I called Sunncamp, who had no record of an order via Towsure in my name. I've also tried calling Towsure and the lines seem permanently busy.
Has anyone heard anything about their current state, or whether they are having difficulties and going out of business?
(I'm not concerned about losing money as it was bought on a credit card, but it's rather frustrating).

Yes, still in business, Sheffield HQ and store still open. Did you order online, and if so, were you sent an email confirming purchase? They don’t have the best reputation for answering telephone calls, but all you can do is make sure you have all your purchase details such as order number, etc…. And ask for where product is being sent from. There are some delays on postal items generally in UK, but if it’s being shipped direct to you, you should have courier details and tracking details? Good luck with it.

It was ordered two weeks ago, order confirmation received, spoke to them last week and they confirmed shipping (they supposedly called Sunncamp who ship directly due to size when I was on the phone to them ). However, Sunncamp ship via Fedex and I've received no shipping notifications. I called Sunncamp and they have no record of the order.
It all seems a little suspicious.

Sunncamp company, (rather than their products), don’t have a good Trustpilot rating, so I wouldn’t be entirely sure it was down to Towsure, but maybe if you are local, pop into Towsure and ask for customer services? Other than that it’s persevere with phone calls. I’d be inclined to give it another week, although that is a long time for a UK based company.
When you called Towsure did you use the Home delivery phone number (0114 250 3000) or the store number, which is different?

Turns out that this was all on Towsure. They seem to have some form of manual process to move web orders to their suppliers.
In this case, the order wasn't passed through to Sunncamp, and whoever had previously told me that the order was being shipped had presumably referenced an incorrect order. As a result, we will get most of the order, but the awning carpet will be delayed as no longer in stock.
All worked out in the end, even if not in an ideal fashion….0 -
At least you have some resolution, I think Towsure are still a family run firm, so perhaps not as swish a buying experience as we tend to be used to nowadays. 👍
