Level Ramps

We purchased Froli twin multi level ramps for a 5 ton MH, 1,250kg maximum load capacity per wheel from a company at the NEC show earlier this year. Our vehicle is a 3,5 ton MH. On our first and most recent trip we only used 1 or 2 of the ramps to level the vehicle at any one time. So as an example we would either lift the front, rear or one side. The ramps have cracked and split under the weight.

I have contacted the company who have come back to me to say because we did not use 4 ramps at a time this is the reason for the damage, case over!

Firstly after setting up on more than 25 different sites in the 5 weeks we were away, we never needed more than 2 ramps and occasionally only needed one.

Am I missing something here? If so, I would love to be educated and then maybe some advice on the correct levels to purchase for a 3.5 ton MH.

We use Fiamma yellow ramps, they dont have separate levels. We always use two either one side or one end. We have used them for a number of years no and they show no wear. (3500 kg van) Did the ones you bought come as a set of four? I have never heard of any motorhomer using 4 ramps, and as far as I know they come as sets of two. I know quite a few people have the multi level ramps but mainly with heavier vans. We did win such a set but they were far two heavy for us to carry in the van.

Why would anyone use 4 ramps? That would not even out unlevel ground but would lift the whole van on the same lop sided angle. That is utter nonsense.

Quote the Consumers Rights Act at them and threaten County Court action!

Hja....they came as a set of 2. You are correct, I didn't see one vehicle on 4 ramps! Reason for my post, just wondering if I have missed something.
