Coachman door fly screen

Our 2022 laser 575 xtra has one broken string on the door fly screen. Has anyone attempted to remove and re string the screen? Is this something I should attempt to make a warranty claim against as a not fit for purpose item ? Advice greatly appreciated.

@wedgy did you purchase the caravan as new from a dealer, it so have you reported the issue to them to see what they say in the first instance before attempting any repair yourself. Surely it should be covered by the suppliers warranty.

Hi it was purchased new from West Yorkshire dealer. Its only happened today so I haven't had chance to report the problem but I will do that on Monday. Just wandered if this common fault had been dealt with by anyone here.

Hope they are able to sort out the issue, it is the sort of thing that I have been able to get done without any problems from our dealer. All they ask is for me to send in a photo of the problem and they take it from there with the manufacturer of the caravan, in our case Swift.

I'll ring the dealer on Monday and see what they say. In the meantime I will see if the fit for purpose rules apply.
