Our daughter has just introduced me to this. It's a way of getting cashback by buying gift vouchers. It involves downloading the JamDoughnut app to your phone. I used this for the first time today at Sainsbury's. The story......

I already had a Sainsbury's offer voucher for £10.50 off if I spent £70 or more in store....(the vouchers they give you at the till.....) It's also the 25% of 6 bottles (or more) of wine this week and the wine I often buy is £8.25 a bottle. 25% off £8.25 means it's down to £6.1825 a bottle. 12 bottles at £6.1825 = £74.25.... the nearest I could get to redeem my till my voucher which they gave me last time I visited....

£74.25 - £10.50 (my voucher) = £63.75.

I then went on to Jamdoughnut and bought a gift voucher for £63.75 to pay with at the till. Probably my maths, but the till actually came to £63.66, so I still have 9p to use next time.

JamDoughnut credited me with £3 for using the system for the first time + £1.59 cashback on the giftcard. £1.59 is not a huge amount, but it better than a 'kick in the teeth (as they say....)'.

It's also a bit fussy to use, but it may well suit someone who uses the same supermarket for shopping... you could then leave money on the goft card to use next time..... only like leaving it in your current account, I guess. There are many different retailers who sell giftcards through JamDoughnut, but the percentage of cashback differs between retailers and can change too.....

Whether it's worth it for you may well depent on your shopping habits, but it's just another little saving....

Today, my wine would have cost £99, but with all the different offers, it will have cost me £59.07. Although only a small bit was JamDoughnut, quite happy to have saved almost £40 today. After saying that, I could have saved a whole lot more by not buying the wine in the first place..... 🤣🤣🤣

Yes we've been using it for quite some time, well my accountant (aka Mrs CS) has. We use it a lot for buying gift cards especially for places like Toby's, we quickly estimate the bill and buy one there and then and then use the card when paying.

@DSB you've saved enough for about one night on a club site, so totally worth buying the wine, which you could also 'use' on site. Win Win!

That't what I've started to do @Cornersteady. However, tried to use it at Costa yesterday, but the assistant at the window couldn't get it to work. I put £10 on, so will try it again today.... Costa is 8% atm..
