A59 Restrooms

Options

Embarrassing post I suppose but due to waiting list for an op I need the restroom every hour or so. Can anyone recommend stops that can accommodate a caravan along the A59 (west to east and vice versa)

Any particular section? From where to where? You could use Google Maps to search along the route.

Preston To Knaresborough but Google maps doesn't show which rest areas can accommodate a caravan like the motorway services...or am I over thinking it?

“Every hour or so” on a 90 minute journey not too big a problem. There must be a pub with a car park somewhere along the way.

We are familiar with your issue. Nowadays we don't have our motorhome 😢. You could use Google maps to look at laybys and use your caravan facilities.

I've seen lay-bys on the A59 from Skipton to Knaresborough as I remember seeing HGVs in them.

In addition there is a lay-by on the stretch between Skipton and the roundabout by Bolton Abbey just after the fork with the A65. It's labelled as a Motorhome stopover point on Search4Sites so you should be fine for a quick comfort break.

Google Maps shows two big laybys between Preston and Skipton, one at Chatburn the other at Sallys Kitchen. There is another just before you get to Skipton and two after leaving Skipton.
