See the following thread from Rowena about the trial.

I cannot see the problem. The club has to offer what [they think] members want. That should mean some sites aimed at motorhomes/campervans, some with a bias towards serviced pitches, some should be dog free and others child free. If the site does not offer what you want then surely you should choose another.

It seems to me that whenever the Club does anything different lt gets it in the neck.? It may be a great success oa complete failure but unless you try these things you will never find out,it seems that Moorhampton is not much used by families so it doesn't appearr that ma many will edisenfranchised?

I would suggest be careful what you wish for🤔 For me, if trialling something like this keeps Moorhampton on the Club network, then that has to be a positive, given just how many Club Site options have disappeared in the last ten years. The Club knows that AO stands a good chance of being popular at Moorhampton, and will have the demographic and income statistics to back this up. So why not give it a go? It’s not a decision taken lightly I am sure, and would probably remain optional

We are just back as members after being away for a few years.
As a couple who enjoy peace and quiet, we’re delighted by the option of “adult only” sites. Don’t mind ‘little people’, we just prefer peace and quiet, so it’s a welcome option which we will choose and enjoy. Now forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere, but what we are a bit shocked at after being away, is how expensive many of our favourite sites now are. Yes, we do live in the real world, and are aware costs have increased, but my goodness, some of the site fees have caused me to gasp. It’s been a bit of a reality check for sure!0
