How available is LPG for refilling a onboard tank?

Also is LPG readily available on France?

It’s certainly less available than it was. However, we have no problems in the East Midlands and there are several outlets showing on the myLPG.eu App in south Somerset. Even if there is not one close to you it is easy enough to fill up on route. Unless you are a very heavy user, you should not have any difficulties keeping a full ish tank.
In France it is much easier to obtain, with many supermarkets and most autoroute stations stocking it as well as many independents. You will need an adaptor for the French pump however.

We sometimes fill up locally, sometimes on route. The great thing with a refillable system is that you dont need to wait for an empty cylinder to exchange it. Your system will have sort of gauge, which wont that accurate but will give you an idea of low, medium, high amounts. When you are getting low, just look on mylpg.eu and find somewhere near to where you are. I have filled up in garages, motorhome dealers, haulage yards. In six years no problem in UK.

Just had a word with an old friend who lives in south somerset and uses LPG. He says there is now only two places to his knowledge. One at the Podimore Services just off the A303 and one at Thornfalcon garage at the junction of the A378 and A358 beside the Somerset Motorhome Centre. Hope this helps. As for availability in France, you should be able to find plenty. Just don't forget the fill point adapter you will need 😉.0
