Website - site search frustration.

I have just spent half an hour trying to research CLs near where I live and have become completely frustrated. I click on 'Find CL' on the page titled 'Find Certificated Location sites'. I then selected the town 'Newquay' and clicked on 'Search'. I am presented with 4 locations, but when I click on 'View CLs on a map.' above the list of locations I am shown the whole of the UK and all the Club Sites and Affiliated Sites, but no CLs. In order to see the CLs I appear to have to change the Filters and include CLs, I then get all the CLs in the UK too. Is there any way to search for CLs in a specific area, by town etc. and see just them on a map?

@Aminthule I've just tried a dummy run. Some silly questions, I assume you're on the main CAMC website? Have you logged in as a member? I know you said you did but I notice you're a forum participant rather than a club member?

From the main CAMC website (not this one) I selected 'find a UK campsite' then selected 'Certificated location' then put in my post code and it worked, took less than a few minutes and it gave me all the details of the CL.

But the strange thing is I've just tried that dummy run again without logging in and it still worked?

Hi Cornersteady, yes I've just gone back to the tab where I am accessing the main website My profile shows my name and membership number details, so I presume I am correctly logged in. I am managing to get some info., but at times I have been shown a message that implies I need to take out membership despite being logged in as a current member. I find the whole website rather clunky, but will try and persevere. Thanks for your comments.

Have you got the site directory and clubs map to hand? Might be less frustrating?

@Aminthule you might have better luck using the map facility on the Searchforsites website, which will show all sites including COs around the area you are interested in. You can then select the one you want to view and by clicking on it's icon on their map it will take you it's description and the link to it's club web page of its own web page.
