First time Caravaner's and looking forward to a fixed bed
My husband and I have just upgraded from a tent to a fixed bed in our new caravan and oh... how excited I am. We collect our caravan next weekend, the following weekend we have a caravan course and then on the 27th of June we are off on our first caravan adventure away.
We love to travel and explore new places. We are members of the national trust and love to cycle, hike, swim, BBQ and drink wine.
We have just completed our caravan insurance through the Caravan club and can't wait to get going.
Our first trip is to Moorhampton Club Campsite. So hoping this place will be kind to a couple of newbies.
Any one that's been there and can give us any tips or anything you can think of we need to start off im happy to receive all your top tips.
Or top places of beauty to stay. As we're hoping to get away most weekends.
Looking forward too maybe meeting you on a trip some time
Karen

Welcome to the forum, Kaznolan.
Moorhampton isn’t the easiest site to pitch on due to some narrow roadways. It’s an old railway station so is long and narrow as you might expect. Unless things have changed in recent years, there is absolutely no mobile signal at this site. Having said all that, it’s a quirky full facility site and a good base for exploring the area. Enjoy your trip.

Hello and welcome. Once you get into the swing of things, and get a few Club Site visits under your belt, consider trying out a Certificated Location (CL). There are all sorts, scattered countrywide, from very very basic, to swisher than Club type sites, and everything in between. They will really extend your touring, and also provide something extra, as every single one is so different. Meantime, have a good time at Moorhampton👍😁

Welcome to the Club and Club Together @Kaznolan 🙂
I would love to hear about how you get on at the caravan course and your first trip in the new caravan. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask and you can find lots of advice on our Guide to Caravanning
Have an amazing time!

Welcome Kaznolan. We look forward to hearing about all your adventures. Our favourite places when we toured were North Yorkshire and Northumberland but perhaps that’s a bit too far for you. As has been mentioned already the CL network is good, do some research first, but they are often good value and some have serviced pitches. Enjoy your new caravan.
