Overnight services on motorways

Frequently when travelling we stop over in services for a rest. Does anyone know the place to go if we were stopping overnight would we park where the HGVs park and go to the shop etc to pay for the night

    I suspect it will vary with provider. Probably best to check the web sites of the operators. Welcome Break has the following information. As to whether you park with the HGV’s, that will very much depend on if there is a dedicated caravan area, which unfortunately may be full of HGV’s anyway. Personally, I would consider all other options first. I can’t think of a worse place to overnight.

    Tebay in Cumbria have their own caravan park.

    We feel the same as @SteveL but we have actually stayed overnight at the services on the M20 near Folkestone. We were due to stay at the club site at Black Horse Farm but had engine trouble en route. Green Flag fixed the problem but it took quite a while. We survived the experience.

    From memory we just went in and paid at a desk, can't remember exactly, but we just parked in the car park not the HGVs. It was quite some time ago.

    Gloucester Services on the M5, part of the same group as Tebay, also allow overnight in a designated caravan parking area (one of the better ones one Motorways).They obviously charge for it.

    perfect thanks it is just for a night stop over heading up to scotland from down south. What we like about the services is we can stop when we want get a kip and rest then depart when we want again the next day and not have to worry about times as you get 24 hours from when you arrive so not time restricted as much as a site. Thank you all so much
