Interesting membership is

whilst at Norfolk Broads site last week the warden appeared to tell us we were not members and that they may have to charge us £30 extra for the two days we had booked to add on to the previous 8 days we had just taken. Our membership runs February 25 to February 26.
Th warden asked we had changed our card as we pay by direct debit, no we had not, or have we changed banks this was now will we have been on around 5 or 6 sites this year from March 25 and no questions asked and all paid before we arrived so what’s gone wrong.
We received a text the day before which I had not seen saying due to an issue on the clubs side they had failed to collect our renewal in February, now May so could we ring the club to pay meanwhile all our considerable future bookings had additional costs attached.
When I rang the club a very grumpy obviously fed up person answered and made it sound we were in the wrong at best or indeed trying it on, I did point out to Her that I did not like her tone and this was something I didn’t expect from a caravan club employee. I paid the £66 and asked what about all the additional costs showing on our booking she said just show your membership card and explain to the wardens the issue. No I was not going to enter into discussions at every site we are going to regarding a club problem it seems the card details they had on line ran out in 2015!!! What a load of rubbish this system is, the grumpy lady got her manager to remove all the additional costs shown on our bookings but who knows if things like the 20% membership offers are now correct.

While you may or may not have a point/issue here with the club it is really inappropriate to label a club employee as a very grumpy obviously fed up person, in fact you mentioned grumpy twice.
The forum guidelines, which you agreed to, are clear on this point:
Be Kind and respectful to all
This is your community, so please make it a pleasant place to be. Be considerate, courteous, and friendly. Keep in mind how your posts may affect other community members, community champions and Club staff. We are an inclusive online forum and organisation.
Additionally:
Don’t
- Post your complaints or misuse the forum to moan about the Club. This forum is for advice and to share experiences. It’s not a place to voice your complaints about the Club although we do value your feedback so please do this via the correct channel
Your post breeches the guidelines. It's also not fair as the club employee who may or may not have been as you describe does not have a right of reply and we only have your side of things.
I am not saying you are mis-reporting anything. But if you have a complaint about the way you are treated then the best way forward to do complain to the club. If the employee acted as you describe then she should be dealt with accordingly, posting on here will get nowhere. I'm sure when I rang the club recently there was the usual 'we record for training and quality purposes...' or words to that effect. If there is a case to answer you will be informed.
Personally I always check that important payments have gone out. Also I would think it should be fairly easy to check for yourself if offers have been applied?

CS. I really don’t think it’s my responsibility, or yours, to criticise what Clarinetman has written. If the moderators or managers find his post offensive or out of line they can tell him, or simply wipe his post from the forum. It’s not for us to reprove Clarinetman, or put him down, or hurt him.

Well as a member of this forum I do see it as my responsibility (as you put it) to ensure the forum is a pleasant place to be. Apart from the breeches in guidelines I personally don't think it is alright to insult a club employee on an open public forum. Perhaps @clarinetman has not read the guidelines he agreed to and perhaps my reply helped in that way and more importantly how to complain in the proper manner?
If club staff are treating members in this way then really I want that addressing and posting on here will not do that.
As to reproving or putting him down or hurting him, I didn't do that at all, I merely stated the facts of the matter.

But you’ve just done exactly that by criticising CS. Oh, the irony!
