The paint work has faded but not totally, when I splash water on the windows it makes them darker but I don't want to apply just anything to be on the safe side.

Attach photos via the 'black mountain' icon in the lower left of the reply box. It's simple👍🏻

Without a photograph I'm guessing slightly, but here goes. As you are aware paints and plastics fade due to UV light.

On our bungalow we have dark grey plastic windows that looked flat and dull once cleaned of the builders paint splatter. They now get a squirt of silicon spray and a wipe twice a year. The colour and shine has come back and they are easy and quick to clean with a damp cloth.

Black plastic trim on the caravan, such as hinges, handles, cycle rack parts [inc metal framework] and Alko coupling head get a wipe over with silicon on the rag [Do not spray it on the coupling head]

WD40 may be worth a try. I use this on my cars bumper/sill protector, mud flaps and any marks on the scuffed interior plastic panels.

Thanks Eribamotters. I could not find how to attach photos, but as a description, the windows have black frame surround which " fades" to clear . But the black, especially on the lower part of the windows is now gray-ish. I will try your suggestions, thanks for prompt reply

Have you tried looking at the facebook page for

Lunar Caravan Owners Technical Support Group

A similar topic crops up regularly, try searching for "window surround faded" or something like that.

This is the fade. As you can see the top is still black

Strange, it looks like the paint is a transfer that is actually coming away from the surface.

Just for info. This picture shows the next day. The left (middle window) has had silicone spray applied, the right has WD40 applied. Ive been advised to use Fenwicks caravan scratch remover. I will post when that arrives
