I’ve just joined CAMC again after a 5 year break and I’m beginning to regret my decision. I started looking at CLs using the ‘new app.’ and I have to say that I find the app. shockingly unintuitive and flaky, in addition every time I try and book a CL I am directed by the app. to book directly with the CL. Is there a way of reporting issues with the app.? Is it worth bothering to report issues?

I don't use the app so can't comment of aspects of its functioning.

CL's are privately owned and run, advertising and some support from the Club. You've always had to book direct with the CL. Do check the current price per night.

@Aminthule I regularly use the app to look at CLs, but do so after referring to the map which came with site directory for location, and the SD for the site's name. The app is convenient as it can provide a direct link to the chosen CL's web site & email address as well as it's club's web page As @Bakers2 says one has to book directly with your chosen CL, not through the app, but may give a better indication of byte nightly charge, but it is always better to ask before booking so as not to be taken by surprise when you come to pay. Hope this helps.

@Aminthule As Bakers2 points out there is no central booking available for CL's. Whether there will be in time is another question? There is a group of CL's that have got together to produce their own App where you can book CL's for the members of that group but we are probably only talking about 10% of the total CL's. Have a look here

Thanks for your comments, I have yet to receive my Site Directory and map as yet, so was relying on the app. If booking CLs is not available through it then I'll go back to the method I used when a member 5 or so years ago.

@Aminthule The app does no more than the club's website, which also doesn't support CL booking but does give the ability to search for CLs.

I find the app infuriating to use on my phone compared to the old one, when I try to alter 1 adult to 2 the pop up shows children and infants but adult is hidden at the top and I cannot scroll the pop up window down

It is easier just to use the main club booking website.

Agreed CS. I've given up with app. All I ever used it for was for accessing the membership cards which, luckily, I down loaded to my Samsung wallet because the app won't let me access them now.

It isnt worth reconsidering my membership though.

I think the thing is it needs some practice and then it comes to you. The website though does seem to be OK to me.

II agree with you @Wildwood as I mainly use the app to view site availability and compare costs for specific dates, and to look at prospective CLs.
