Avtex Tourer One Plus SD card expansion

Hi. I bought my Avtex One Tourer Plus sat nav in 2019 and previously updated the maps, using Garmin Express, with no problems, this time it wont allow me to. I now get a message telling me I need to add more memory to continue any updates. On the bottom of the unit there are two slots either side of the power socket. One socket, outlined in red, has an 8GB SD card fitted, I presume this contains the current maps, including previous updates. There is also an empty socket.
Can you confirm if this is this the expansion socket to add the additional 32GB card to allow my updates to be downloaded?
I've tried researching this for myself but Avtex or Garmin doesn't offer information on this unit now and reading what I can find on the subject they all say there is only one SD card slot, when mine clearly has two?
I'm sure there are many still using this model and would appreciate any help anyone can give to enable me to complete the latest updates.
Thanks in advance.

That sounds strange. I have an Avtex Tourer One, also known as the 770. In fact when I go to update software both designations come up. I had to insert a micro SD card some years ago as memory was low. My unit has one slot on the back which I used

Thanks for your comment. I can see your sat nav has one SD slot. Mine is a Garmin Tourer One Plus, which has two SD slots and includes Caravan and Motorhome touring campsites. I bit the bullet and fitted the recommended additional 32GB SD card and Garmin Express has now updated my mapping. 👍️

Two slots is obviously one of the physical updates these things go through. Seems a backwards step in some ways if your main data is on a card in one of the two slots and not inside the unit. There must be a good reason for it though.

I wonder how long we will see such units over phone apps. I like the built in POI element that ours share. The large screen is also nice.
