How do you apply silicone spray to the seals, without it going on the bodywork or everywhere else?

    easy , spray it on a cloth and rub the cloth on the seals

    that's what I did before but obviously a lot of the silicone is absorbed by the cloth, leaving less to soak into the rubber

    Spray it onto a paintbrush. It won’t be absorbed, and you can be more precise putting it onto the seals? Failing that, protect the area around the seals with something that won’t damage the surface, bit like using masking tape, then spray.
