Overnight Stopover

One of our favourite eateries here on the South Yorks/Derbyshire border is now offering overnight stops for Camper vans and MH’s. Those familiar with the Peak District might be aware of the lovely pub restaurant called Fox House which sits on the road out of Sheffield going onto Hathersage and Castleton. Chatting with staff, and the pub is now doing overnight stops for self sufficient outfits, free if you eat or drink in the pub. The car park is very large, and outfits can pitch up at the top end (slight slope, so wedges might be required). The location is lovely, edge of the Moors, NT Longshaw estate is half a mile away, lots of good moorland walking, Sheffield, Hathersage, Hope, Castleton on bus route with a stop outside the car park. Bakewell isn’t far either, Chatsworth half an hour.
The pub does really nice food, wide range of beers, is dog friendly and also offers rooms. There are no facilities other than the loos when the pub is open, but it’s a really well placed stopover for the area. No details on website, so I think it is just ring and check.

Looks like those loos are now permanently closed @GTP. But it’s not changed much, pub interior very different, but the foods still good👍0
