Recently bought a brand new benimar from marquis 7 months ago .. Couple of minor issues as expected when buying a new motorhome but everytime they try and fix it, they damage the van even more. Fitted a microwave and drilled 4 holes more by mistake putting a shelf in. Damaged the bathroom floor and glued it down hoping we wouldn't see it. Scratch the bodywork taking a prev fitted bike rack that we didn't want... The list goes on. Anybody else had issues with the aftersakes and service. What warranty would be in place for a brand new van.

That does not sound good. Chat to the clubs legal team. I assume you've had a word yourself and got no where?

You are not the first to have issues with that company, @Fozdog_71

One thing I can tell you for sure is that it’s not worth contacting the parent company as they point out (quite rightly) that Marquis is a company in its own right and will bounce you straight back to them.

Keep a written record of every contract and event and look up your rights under the Consumer Rights Act with a view to taking court action or rejecting the van. Good advice from B2 above about contacting the club's legal team. Don’t let it go on any longer.

That's great advice.. It seems a vicious circle of fix-damage-fix. It's been our dream to have this van and they are slowly draining g our enthusiasm away.

Have to agree with other posts. Try the clubs legal helpline and rush up on Consumer Relations Act. There is plenty on U tube on this. To be brutally frank leaving until over six months from the purchase weakens your case but it will still apply.

Possibly a little late to log all contacts and visits but try to get this as accurate as possible. Write and quote the CRA and demand that the matter is sorted within the next 28 days or you will be consulting your solicitor with regard to court proceedings. It is still probable you will be able to get most of your money back particularly if you started the complaints within the first month after you took delivery.
