Are many of you fans of this police series? Series one was on the BBC but for some reason series two has been slow to come to terrestrial TV but is now being shown on U&Drama. The star of the drama is Nicola Walker who plays Detective Inspector Annika Strandhed of the Glasgow's Marine Homicide Unit, she goes to work in a boat! Difficult to describe the genre as it sort of has tones of Scandi Noir without the seriousness? The main character often speaks directly to camera, often with little homilies. It is quite a gentle watch but with a quirky style which I quite enjoy.

    David, it is a take off from a radio series which can be found on BBC Sounds, and there the location is Oslo, I think, definitely Scandinavia, but with a very similar form with Annika talking to the audience.

    We watched and enjoyed it. Anything with Nicola Walker in is usually a good watch. Thanks for the tip off re second series. We look out for unusual deceive dramas, enjoy the foreign ones with subtitles. Can recommend The Wagner Method, set in Strasbourg.👍
