Live Chat
Am I wrong, but doesn't Live Chat mean you are conversing with somone rather than a computer ? I've tried using this via the icon on the club site page but am just going round in circlres with mesages repeating saying "please ask your question again".
I'm left now having to ring the club instead

I must admit I have not tried the Club's "live chat", however I have used others and generally found them pretty useless unless asking a very specific question. These "live chats" can be run by humans or chatbots. The latter are next to useless in my view. At least by ringing direct you will get a proper answer. Depending on the type of question we may even be able to answer here providing it does not involve disclosing personal information as it is a public forum.

I avoid live chat whenever I can everywhere online, unless it's a simple straightforward question that one could probably find out with a little work.

I’ve used the club live chat before and 100% been speaking with a person, think it was probably from their call centre as I had a query about a site.

I wonder if it depends whether staff are on duty at the time Chat is used? Maybe we get a robot out of office hours?

If memory serves me right, the only time I have used it, I think you start with a Chatbot if there’s no human on duty, which directs you through a variety of “does this answer your query” type links. Beyond this, and I think it might be subject to staffed hours, I think you get a human. Which basically means you are left with a Chatbot outside what the Club considers reasonable staffing hours. Non emergency queries are possibly to be avoided at weekends and late evenings😕
