Lizzie went for her big sleep this morning.. The health problems were just too difficult to solve. We shall miss her so much, but she is now resting peacefully and out of pain Thanks to those who have already sent messages... and to the folk at Companion Care Vets, Tamworth, for their kindness and understanding this morning. ❤️

As I posted elsewhere, I’m sorry to hear your news, David.

Lizzie was part of your lives for a long time and will leave a big gap. In time the hurt will lessen and you’ll remember the good times. Never doubt that you did the right thing for her.

I'm really sorry to read this news David. It's heartbreaking when we have to say that final goodbye to our cherished companions. But Lizzie will have had the best life possible with you and Carol and you'll have so many happy memories of your good times together.

We will be thinking of you.

Sorry to hear the news David, unfortunately I can relate to your loss, we lost our King Charles spaniel Max at 11 years old.

I can always remember him being at our feet after jumping up on the bed when we were asleep!! He knew it wasn't allowed, but somehow he was allowed to get away with it.

Just remember all the happy memories.

Very sorry to hear this news. Im sure that you gave her the best life, and you did what needed to be done for her at the end. A very sad time for you as pets are our constant companions and loved members of the family.

@DSB I am sure you are feeling utterly devastated at the moment, but sending you our kind wishes. It’s so hard, but you have to do what is ultimately the kindest thing for them. She will have had a lovely life with you, will have clocked up plenty of miles away and had all sorts of perfect doggy days.

Our old lad is struggling at the moment, very bad on his back legs, but no pain thankfully. He’s due at the vets next week, so see how he goes.

I have to say our vets and Petplan have been very good throughout our final two weeks with Lizzie. Petplan may be really expensive, but they have handled everything really sensitively, as have our vets. Our vets have done all the claims for us.... we haven't had to do or sign anything, and people have been so kind and understanding.
