Crossing the Pyrenees via the Col du Portalet at 5,920 feet on 7th April 2025.

There was hardly any traffic about and it was a beautiful sunny day.

Do you happen to know if the Somport Tunnel route has re-opened after the roadworks to repair last autumn's storm damage ?

Yes, it reopened late 2024, you can check it out on Michelin traffic Did you go down the Portalet into France? Lovely spot at the top but oh so narrow a road on the French side.

Travelled up from Zaragoza and am now staying at a CCP Mon Village site at Grenade sur l'Adour.

Via Michelin is routing via Portalet but Google Maps routes via Somport. There were no signs on the motorway (up to Sabinanigo at least) saying the Somport route was closed.
