Yep, looks like Scotland, Lake District, then Wales before they fly out of Cardiff. Should be three brilliant days of cycling. The Tour de France Femmes (2027) is setting off in Yorkshire🤩 We will get something organised for seeing the Men’s Race (as well as the Women’s). Seeing all the unbelievable infrastructure and planning that goes into the race is incredible, the Gendarmeries, the support buses, the Tour Team cars, the caravan that precedes the race. Being at the start is best, all the riders are introduced, you can get really close to see all the kits, the bikes, etc…… we did a finish in 2014 when Vincenzo Nibali came home just in front of everyone else. We rode there on our bikes, spent most of the day watching the race on the big screens, then got to the finish line to see them shoot in.

Expect huge crowds on the climbs.

We saw them on the Col du Tourmalet in the Pyrenees one year. The razzle and dazzle when the cars came through about an hour or so before the race itself was a spectacle with fights almost breaking out to get the goodies.

We watched them go through then walked into town, Luz St.Saveur, about 800 metres downhill and watched the finish in a bar. Think it was the year Pantani won.
