Watched this live on TV yesterday, and what a fantastic game. Two Northern Clubs, Liverpool and Newcastle United, put on a thumping good game for their fanatical supporters, and whilst I always enjoy watching Liverpool, it was just so special seeing NU finally, after 70 years, win a trophy. They thoroughly deserved the win, yes Liverpool were possibly tired a bit from all their matches, but NU were outstanding. Newcastle must have been the place to be last night, but there will be a few sore heads this morning. Howay the Lads indeed😁

    A fantastic result, as it makes a nice change to see one of the less successful clubs over recent years, with such a huge group of fanatical supporters, final come up trumps. Great to see a "local" lad score such an important goal to set them on their way.
