@eurortraveller I think one has to do more than just look at the site photos of new CLs. I too look at them, but also then go onto Google Maps, satellite view, to see the surrounding areas before making a judgement of the site and area. I would think that owners of new sites will have done due diligence before putting their hand in their pocket and forked out good money for the setting up of the site. Most, if not all, won't appeal to you as they are not "over there"!!🤐

@CLMaddie I have just updated my site director from your October list and checking the closures i see that Iden Coach House, Rye, East Sussex, No.1399 in the SD, is still showing as open on its CL Web page. Would you please check.

The please see below a list of sites which opened and closed in November 2025.
I have listed them by County, Listing town then CL Site. Sites with an * next to the CL name were previous sites that closed and have now decided to reopen as a CL.
Sites opened in November:
- Bedfordshire - Bedford - North Barn
- Cheshire - Tarporley - Jasper's Meadow

Please note the CAMC does not have any influence on the CL price, whilst we encourage them to look at other CL prices in their area the final decision is theirs.
A CL can take upto 1 year to be ready to open, a closure only requires an email from the owner. Because of the varied reasons for closure, some of them very personal to the owner, we are unable to share the details.

Forton House in Somerset has moved over to luxury Shepherds Huts. They were being installed the last time we stayed there, probably a much bigger profit than 5 pitches. It’s a nice location, we stayed after visiting Forde Abbey, not far away.

And that doesn't include the £5 pn for pets!! @Hja we paid less than £25 on the C&CC's Site not far down the road from there before Christmas.

@CLMaddie I have just been updating my site directory and notice that a site thatl opened in October 2024 has not been included or added by your or the magazine updates. The site is Long Meadow, Combs Lawn, Brendon, EX35 6P. I fear that they may be missing out on bookings because of the omission.
