It's already online on the Derbyshire centre website and Facebook site.

When will the 2025 centre rally guide be on the main site?

I very much doubt it will, they stopped putting them in the magazine a while ago, much to the disappointment of both Centre Committees and rally goers I suspect, and I have yet to find a full listing on the Club's website. It is real pain trying to identify where rallies, which we may well attend, are taking place when booking a extended tour such as we take.

I can find no details of my centre’s rallies (Forth and Clyde) for 2025. Any help in finding this information appreciated. I used to be in the other club and they had loads more rally information. Is it that CAMC members don’t rally much?

@ Scankguy I think that there are fewer club members rallying, and some of the Centres have combined. You can find the centre you require on the link below, which is now part of the Scottish Caravan Club. However I do think that the "Club" are no longer interested to any great extent in the rally Centres. If they were they would make it much easier to find out details of both the Centres themselves and post a monthly list of all rallies.

The majority of centres have their own website with their rally details listed.

A Google (or other search engine) search should bring them up.

@DaveCyn Why don't the Centres make use of this forum or Facebook Groups to publicise their rallies? The uninitiated could assume they don't want to encourage new members joining their rallies, or is that a bit harsh?

This makes for really hard work trying to fix up a tour, if one has to go through all the Centres to find out which rallies are on in the areas and time one is interested in. The C&CC produce a monthly leaflet listing their rallies and THS along with site fees which makes it much easier to sort out a tour involving one of more of them.

Good questions which I can't answer.

The club used to publish a list of rallies in a separate booklet each year bit I've not seen one for a couple of years.

Our centre, West Dorset, has a Facebook page but as I'm not on Facebook I can't vouch for it.

If it's any interest we're running a rally at Weymouth Rugby Club in July.

@DaveCyn I have just had a look on FB for your Centre but although it is there nothing appears to have been added to it for a while, so no good for looking for Rallies.

Rallies are all listed on their website.

Can't vouch for Facebook in any way.

I think the real issue here is that whilst some centres use facebook and some their own web sites there is little encouragement from the Club HQ. You do need to register with your division or centre - and each year after your subs renewal. It doesnt carry forward - madness. Also the centres are not given the details of those who sign up to their centre. The whole onus is on the individual member to make contact. There is a place on the web site where all rallies are eventually published:

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/whats-on/events/?searchType=CentreRallies&SortBy=Date&Centre=&From=&To=&IncludeCentreEvent=true&IncludeLongRally=true&IncludeShortRally=true

but currently only 2024 events are in the online book.

As has been said various centres are now publishing their calendars but you have to go searching. Many of the facebook sites are also private, so another hurdle. I appreciate they are all, social media and rallies, run by volunteers, but there is no ongoing central calendar that would be so useful, even if you needed to go to the individual centre sites for details.

Definitely very little help from the club to encourage members to join and use Centre Rallies.

@Hja From what you say it seems a bit of an uphill struggle as far as Centres are concerned? Websites and Facebook Groups do take a bit of organising and some knowledge of computers. I suppose the point about reapplying every year is because the Centres don't get any confirmation from HQ that you have paid your subscription, probably something to do with GDPR?

Much more akin to lip service than full blooded support.

All Midland Centre rallies for 2025 are available on our website and have all been uploaded to the clubs website, no idea when they will publish them.

@weegogs Thanks for posting, that is certainly a comprehensive list of rallies for 2025.

I have been into a few of the Rally Centres and done some bookings but it would be easier for route planning etc if the Club would make available a download similar to last years.

It would also be helpful if the club would let us know either way if this is planned. If they already have then unfortunately I missed it .

    Hi everyone,

We have our Centre Rally Guide that might be helpful for members.

Our centres also run organised overseas rallies too which you can learn more about here: Overseas Centre Rallies

I’m absolutely gob smacked you had this attitude about having a used caravan. We all have a similar interest with caravanning, age of outfit should not come into it.

Agree with you, been involved with rallying over a 50 years period (from my teenage times). It appears that the ‘Club’ has changed its focus away from ‘grass roots’ members to a more corporate focus. IMO could be detrimental to the Club as members will find little in membership benefits and leave.
