Most do but some may be down to as little as a 6A supply. Most also use the blue plug but some don't so you may need an adaptor.

Every campsite I've been in France have the offer of Ehu. As mentioned most have the blue euro plug though some do still have a 2 pin type. If you are travelling out of the main summer season July and August you can take out membership of the Acsi discount card. This will give you access to 1000's of sites at a reduced price. Included in the price is ehu hook up, the Acsi book or website will tell you what is available on site, how many pitches, size of pitches etc.

Been to lots of French sites and never came across one without EHU. Some have been a bit questionable😮 This link might give you a bit of an introduction to Continental electrics

On some sites, you may not find as many EHU bollards as in the UK and they may be difficult to reach even with the standard 25 metres. Therefore best to check this before deciding on your pitch, or if assigned ask for another if you have difficulty reaching. It’s also not unusual for your cable to have to run across the front of other pitches, where it will be driven over by the vehicles accessing them.

Just a mention that if you do use ACSI as recommended by Tammy, also recommended by me, then you may only get 6 amps and have to pay to upgrade.

In summer we have stayed on some sites with just 4 amps but there were areas within the site with higher ampage. All sites we've stayed on have had EHU. If you do come across a site still using the old 2 pin plugs it might be best to check for reverse polarity. You can buy one of these over here.

We have been on many French sites and all had hook ups, most now seem to have the type used over here but there are many with the older two pin style. As others have said the amps vary from 5 upwards so you should check exactly what you are getting before booking.

Some sites will have two power levels and you can pay for either and one site we know will give you 13 amps outside the main Summer season but splits this to give you half for the main Summer season.
