Bessacar faulty Sky View blind and frame

Has anyone had a problem with the Bessacar 454 sky view blind and frame? Mine is completely broken, I have tried to fix it but no luck. I have had a quote to replace and fit blind and frame £950, please can you let me know if you have experienced the same, also has anyone fitted it themselves many thanks

    You do not say how old the model is, but the figure looks high to me. It may be that if this is an old one, it is no longer made as standard and has to be made up to from the bits for you, this could account for some of the price.

    The new one should simply screw into the holes left by the old one so should be a simple DIY fit, but do check this with the supplier.

    You might also be able to get a decent one second hand from breakers, SFM are one of the biggest. They will need the size and year. Bessacar are made by Swift and I suspect that any the same size will work from either a caravan or motorhome, but the site will have a photo for you to check the colour.

    Not much comfort to you but I saw an older post on the same subject on another forum and given it was a couple of years ago the price then was not dis-similar to what you have been quoted.
