Well the weekend is soon upon us but the excitement is growing. Just planning my weekend to ensure watching the game on TV. Sadly my beloved team, FC have had a pretty dismal season as is my Union side, Falcons. The latter on a real losing streak. I fear for their future.

Now please don’t tell anyone, I’ll never live it down, but I will be rooting for The Robins on Saturday. May they go ‘bob, bob bobbing along’!

It's a fitting end to the season, micky, with the league's best two teams competing. It's been a great season for The Robins, hopefully a long term return to the glory days of the 80's.

Still feeling a bit aggrieved at the gamesmanship that cost them the league leaders shield in that penultimate game of normal season though, and a bit nervous about the choice of referee for this one.

Still, a great game to look forward to and, hopefully, worthy and uncontroversial winners.

BTW, what a great and well deserved "Man of Steel" award for Mikey Lewis who's had an outstanding season and always comes across as a genuinely nice bloke in interviews. And Willie Peters as coach of the season,  also well deserved. smile

Good game, not a great game but once again the Pieeaters came out top.

Hull KR played well and maybe next year they will go one step further. As they say, you need to lose one before you can win one.

Congratulations to Wigan - you have to hand it to them, they always rise to the big occasions and having win all 4 major trophies in one season speaks for itself. And that Bevan French, what a player he is!

It's been a breakthrough season for The Robins, though, and I'm really excited about their prospects for next season, some good signings on board already.

And that's it for now, next February can't come fast enough! smile

Sadly the spoils stayed the ‘wrong’ side of the Pennines for many. A low scoring game where no quarter was asked for or given. Not the most entertaining game for the neutrals amongst us but well done Wigan, they found what was needed to do in order to win the game, again!
