New bins

just wondering if anyone has had any problems lifting the large lids on the commercial type Bins ,my wife and I [ 79 & 80 yrs ] need both hands to lift the lids and hold it open to put waste in it ,which means that we both have to go to do a task that was easly carried out by one person ,does anyone else have this problem/challenge
