Don’t know if people have noticed but in the email from the club yesterday, September newsletter, there is a survey. It is buried fairly well down. Includes the question what  single thing would you like the club to do in the next year. Plenty of scope for members to suggest some of the things that have been suggested on CT.

    I put take electricity out of pitch prices, charge separately.

    I made full use of it to reflect my views all of which I have also made on here. At the moment I am not at all happy with the direction the Club is going.

    Also not had the e-mail. Any idea what I need to click to enable e-mails, or are they sent out randomly, based on site use etc

     I have gone into my communication preferences and I'm down to accept "Member research" e-mails.

    Knock down all toilet blocks you don't need them with today's tourers -   will make all sites cheaper ⁹

    Assuming the club do begin metering electric, I hope that the process is simple and motorhome friendly. The trials seem to use an app and if you go out in the motorhome the meter resets when you unplug the cable. Users would also be paying more than the contract price due to the use of a third party company setting up the app and payment method and presumably being paid for that.

    Given that the issue seems to be excessive use of electric by some, how about reducing the amperage to 10 amps which would limit use of electric for heating but still allow kettle and toaster use. 

    As to toilet blocks, surely knocking them down would cause issues for disabled people. Motorhome showers aren't usually very big. Unless you've got a RV....

    You would not be paying more for your electric than the contracted price as it is not lawful for the secondary supplier (CAMC) to charge more than he pays to the prime supplier

    Whether site fees would increase to cover set up fees is another matter.

    I see no point in reducing amperage to 10 if supply is being metered and charged to the end user as "excessive use" would only be a cost to that user and not CAMC and its membership.

    I think the poster who made the suggestion of removing facility blocks forgot to post the laughing emojis. CAMC is closing 5 non-facility sites due to low occupancy so I don’t think you need worry they’ll take that suggestion seriously.
