Hi all hope you have had a good summer travelling wherever the caravan takes you!

So we have an xplore 586 2016. It's going in for the 3rd time under warranty for damp. We love it but have given up especially as we will be going into the last year of warranty. We also want a fixed bed so have been looking for something new.

We have come across a Bailey Messina which ticks our boxes plus more. Seems really nice (if it doesnt get damp ;-) ) . It's a huge step as obviously caravans these days cost much more plus where we had an entry level before we didn't fork out as much even if we are getting close tomwhat we purchased it for originally! Anyway we are looking at everything we need to.

The guy in the shop said that the movers take away the jacking points.  This is a twin axle so then you can't Jack it up to move the 2nd wheel into place for the alko locks. We have looked into this and see the locknlevel option.

I just wanted to understand what you all do with twon axle's please. We have a single axle so was never a problem. If this is the best option we just need to consider a twin locknlevel to the things we need to add to the overall consideration.

Thanks all!

You don't need anything as complex as a lock-and-level for a twin axle van.  What I've been doing for years is to stop the van with the rear lock hole aligned and the rear lockable wheel parked on two bits of plastic sheet. I've been using a couple of chopping mats from Aldi. With lock in place I then move the van forward to align the front wheel.  The locked rear moves as the plastic sheets slide on each other. Can even do this up on wooden ramps when site slopes across way.
