On a recent trip out we drove back in the rain and subsequently found the inside of the van at the front to be soaked. The seal at the top of the front window appears to not be quite touching the glass (it’s not a big gap but it’s not snug either).
I’ve been trying to find a replacement seal for it but going on the advice it would appear the one that is fitted is too big? The wall thickness is 27mm and the seal has the double bubble but the only one I can find as a like4like replacement is for 30mm thick walls.
The current one that’s fitted could well be a 30mm wall one but I’m worried if I go with a new one for a 30mm wall I could end up with it fitting too snug and putting pressure on the window catches?
Any advice on this would be gratefully recieved.

    Hi,

What year is your van ?

Before buying new seals have checked the screws at the of window hinge are tight.

Do you have a local engineer that could have a look at the seals, maybe a spray with silicone lube may help.
