Club handbook ‘small print’

As regular users of CLs, we rely on the directions printed in the Handbook to get us to the site with minimum fuss. However, advancing age makes it harder to read the tiny print used in the Handbook, especially whilst travelling and in dim light.

I now take a photo of the CL entry on my smartphone, crop the image and print it out full-sized in landscape orientation on A4 paper, thus making it far easier to read. The Handbook can now stay in the caravan, and a single sheet of paper goes in the passenger door pocket for my wife, as navigator, to refer to on final approach!

An alternative is to go to the page for the CL in question and select Map. You could then highlight and copy and paste into a word processor document and print it that way. I used to do that for the main Club sites.

Of course, it would make life a lot simpler if the directions were made available on the Clubs CL webpage.

They are on the individual CL web page on the club site. That is where we get our directions from. There is usually a line above the map that takes you to the directions which can then be cut and pasted.

Thanks, HJA, I’d not realised that!
