Now that we seem to have a short spell on TV without much sport we seem to be getting a lot of new detective series appearing. We will probably watch most of the UK based ones but one that has taken our eye is The Turkish Detective. Interesting scenes in and around Istanbul, a place I have wanted to visit but unless we get there on a cruise I somehow doubt, you never know. Typical off beat main character, very philosophical. Even had Dylan Thomas's "Do not go gentle into that good night" in tonight's episode.

    My wife and I enjoyed the series. Found the first couple of episodes a little uninspiring, but got better and worth the watch.
