Tyre inflation

About 15 years ago I bought a small electric compressor from Costco. You can buy such a device fro around £120 from the likes of Screwfix. It will outlast several 12v "toys"
It's still going strong. Rarely used though because with a bit of effort and good cardio exercise I maintain the pressures with my 25 year old basic foot pump.
The right way to establish tyre pressures is to load van for "maximum" weight ,full, water, fuel, passengers luggage, dog etc etc then take it to a weighbridge and measure front and rear axle loads. Disregard manufacturers plated weights which may apply to base vehicle. Then consult tyre manufacturers table or "Tyresafe" based on real world axle loads.
