    @Tinwheeler not a problem out of the main season when Polmanter prices are actually comparable to Godrevy and in any case while I do visit St Ives at least once, Polmanter is just a base to meet our requirements. By the way parking in front of Tate Modern in St Ives is not a problem with a blue badge and we like the cafe overlooking Porthmeor Beach. Even just watching the waves over a cup of coffee can be quite mesmerising but even in the off season there is usually some surfing activity off the beach.

    Any tips on where it is better to go then? That could be a good new thread to start?
