Club insurance behind the times?

My Motorhome insurance with Lifesure is up for renewal.

I thought I'd try the club but what a palaver! There are different groups sorting out basic insurance, breakdown, EU cover. Other quality insurers allow for an enquiry where all requirements are detailed and one quote is rapidly and relatively simply provided. After an hour or so navigating the club labyrinth I receive quotes that are many 100s of pounds more than I was interested in.

Surely a more streamlined operation would at least reduce costs to some degree? Or perhaps I've missed something?
