I need to replace my tyres. Caravan is currently fitted with 185r14c 104 102n which doesn't appear to be a popular size. However, there seems to be loads of tyres with a 102 load rating. My question is would these be acceptable in place of 104.

According to Tyresafe, a 102 rating has a max recommended load of 1530kg and max permissible load of 1700kg.

After a lot of searching last year I homed in on the Falken Linan Van01 for it's balance of efficiency/grip ratings and cost. For me Protyres came up as my best supplier:-

For car and caravan I simply go to local branch of County Tyres group, speak to the manager, take his advice and let him order them,-I have no idea  whether they are a popular size or not. I don’t search - he does.  It never seems a problem in small town Cornwall.

Exactly what I do for my caravan ET.  Let those who know what they are talking about solve the problem.

Picked my wife's car up last week after full main dealer service and MOT, mileage on MOT certificate wrong and all four tyres under inflated with low pressure warning showing.

I certainly would not trust any expert to choose tyres for my vehicle or caravan.

My girlfriend purchased new tyres last month and this week the TPMS was showing low pressure in one tyre.  No way could she get the tyre valve cap off to (re)inflate - neither could her daughter or the chaps who kindly stopped to help.  Jammed on as tight as they would go - which is not the correct procedeure. Do new starts get even a 10 minute apprenticeship now?
