Coniston Coppice Park taxi service

Can anyone recommend a reliable taxi service which picks up from the Park at Coniston?

I need to get to Rydal Hall for 8am on Friday 19 April but want to leave the van at the site for my other half to use! Google search hasn't yielded any results.

    Most campsite we have stayed on usually have details of local taxi's either in the information hut or reception. I have had a varied experience of using taxi's from campsites. You are usually fine near large towns and cities but the more rural or smaller the town the more difficult it is to get a taxi on spec. We once did some food shopping at Barnard Castle and decided we would prefer a taxi back to the site. The trouble was that is was early afternoon and all the local taxi's were on school runs. It might be worth ringing the site and asking for details so you can book in advance.

    I’m afraid I don’t understand when you say “Google search hasn’t yielded any results”.  Just typing Taxis Cumbria gives you a long, long list and you start phoning. Now whether the drivers want the job at that time of day is another matter. Can your partner drive you there?

    We are currently staying on Park Coppice. There are 2 taxi companies on the information sheet that we were given when we arrived. We have not used them ourselves but they are Alan Dover 07977148730 (text) and Bluebird Taxis 07814728390. Hope this helps.
