Why do you pay extra at club sites for 2 people

I am looking to book sites for this year but am surprised to see that they are for 1 person. I have to pay extra for a second person, yet my wife is a joint member with me. Why pay extra for another person. They don't use extra of anything. And how many people travel solo.

See this thread on the discussion forum ( where your story will probably be moved to).

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/club-talk/club-membership/adding-partner-hikes-up-price/

It’s all explained there but, essentially, prices are one pitch fee plus another fee for each person. The more people you take, the dearer it gets. The headline 'from' price is just an example and quotes the minimum cost. Your wife is a family member so needs to be paid for as does the lead member.

For some reason this thread has not appeared on the listings in UK Sites etc posts but it was showing as being there on the Discussions page!! Very strange!

Edit I see that it is listed above as being from the Club Membership section but is not in that section!

Edit 2, It has now jumped into the correct section!!undecided

    Nellie

Sleight of hand by me as I initially put it in the wrong place!

I will close this  thread as all the information needed by the OP is contained in the link provided by TW.
