Dear Forum Friends

I didn’t realise until I was ill earlier this year, the depth of kindness on here and it takes something like that to show who one's friends are. I was overwhelmed by the number of kind and supportive postings at a time when it was really a help to know how many folk out there, albeit most not ever met in the flesh, were thinking about me during a worrying time.

I won't be posting again and have asked a friend to post it for me but it would be most remiss to leave without expressing my sincere thanks to all those who posted.

I am on the mend now and plan to continue my recuperation with a modest trip to France and Spain shortly.

    Sorry to hear you're in need of recuperation in the first place. May it continue at a pace and not hinder your travels too much.

    Thank you for your posts, your help and guidance, forthright views and knowledge, in particular of 'over there', which helped and inspired me to venture across to Croatia, back in 2015. Many trips have since followed to our 'magical' place. I no longer tow and as such, post infrequently nowadays, but have cherished memories of our travels.

    David, like quite a few of us you've been contributing to CT for a long time and your experiences of travel abroad have been helpful to many. I've also enjoyed reading your travel blog over the years.

    I wish you and your OH all the best for your upcoming trips and holidays and hope everything goes well for you. My best wishes to you both. Brue smile

    Sorry to hear you won't be posting on here again - I will miss seeing you as one of the 'regulars'.  Wishing you and Mrs AD all the very best for the future and hope your recuperation goes well.  Enjoy your time 'over there'.  Take care - and our very best wishes go with you.

    I too am very sorry you won't be posting on CT again; I have always enjoyed your posts, you are a mine of information on "over there", which has been useful to me, and I'm sure to many others. 

    I wish you and your wife a lovely trip, I'm sure it will be an emotional one in many ways, but I hope above all it will be a very enjoyable one.

    I’m also sorry to read that you won’t be posting on CT again, have really appreciated your recommendations for Spanish and French campsites.  
    Hope your health is continuing to improve, and you are both looking forward to your next trip in the ‘van. 
    Will be on the lookout for Marjorie and yourself on the ferry to Bilbao, next summer.

    All very best for the future, David, and I hope your healthily steadily improves. I will certainly miss your contributions to the forum, and am sorry that you are leaving, although we didn't always see eye to eye. Enjoy your forthcoming trips and take great care of your self and your OH, and safe travels.
